I Have a Plan Iowa (IHAPI)

IHAPI is a computer generated assessment that helps a student determine what he or she would like to do after graduation, where they would like to attend post secondary school, gives the student information about income and duties regarding the many jobs a student will be interested in, and give information about financial assistance.  Each student will be required to complete each grade level pathway before they will move on to the next grade in High School.  Assessments from this program will be accessed by the Special Education teacher and information from this assessment will be used in designing a student's IEP (Individual Education Plan).  Usually, work on the pathways will be completed during advisory time.  Mr. Clark typically gives each 9th grader his or her username and password at the beginning of each year.  IHAPI can be accessed and completed at home under parental supervision as well.  This is an ongoing assessment throughout the entire year and will take the school year to complete.

Students will use this information to make decisions about their future according to what their skills and talents are!

Teachers use this information to assist students in formulating a post secondary plan for thier education!
