Special Education

Strategies Class:

Resource students must take one strategies class to allow time for Resource teachers to work with them in their goal areas and monitor their progress toward those goals.  Paraprofessionals will assist students and will be respected as they assist students.  Progress monitoring will help teachers make informed decisions when working to keep resource students abreast of general education classroom assignments and tests. 

 

Study Area:

Most resource students will have the benefit of a Study Area hour in their schedule that works as an intensive study hall with the modifications and accommodations each individual student needs to be successful.  Students and parents are welcome to discuss these modifications and accommodations at an annual Individual Education Plan meeting or at any other time with an appointment with Mrs. Meyer.  Please see the contact page for additional information.
